About Us

Pancakes for the People is a community breakfast program founded in 2018 by Poa Mutino (they/he).

Our intention is to cook and serve at least one community breakfast on the streets of Central Vermont every week May through October and once a month indoors November through April. The purpose of these meals is to build community, utilize food that would otherwise become waste and fundraise for BIPOC led land access and education projects.

We serve a full breakfast including pancakes, eggs, and greens, as well as gluten-free and vegan options. Come find us on the third Sunday of every month at City Hall, 39 Main St., Montpelier, VT from 8am-11am. Rain Location: Woodbelly Pizza, 87 Barre Street, Montpelier. Cost is on a sliding scale from $0-15. We're a volunteer-run organization and grant-funded, and often share our tip jar with local causes in the spirit of community support and mutual aid.
