About Us

Pancakes for the People is a community breakfast program founded in 2019 by Poa Mutino (he/him).

Our intention is to cook and serve at least one community breakfast on the streets of Central Vermont every week May through October and once a month indoors November through April. The purpose of these meals is to build community, utilize food that would otherwise become waste and fundraise for BIPOC led land access and education projects.

We serve a full breakfast including pancakes, eggs, and greens, as well as gluten-free and vegan options.
When: 9am-12pm every Sunday starting July 26, 2026
Where:
July 26 through October 25: City Hall Park, Barre, VT
After October 25: Indoors at 81 N Main St, Ste 2, Barre, VT.

Pancakes for the People is a volunteer-run organization and grant-funded, and we often share our tip jar with local causes in the spirit of community support and mutual aid.
